On April 28, 2025, the Department of Enterprise, Tourism, and Employment (DETE) introduced a new employment permit online system. The changes aim to improve the user experience and efficiency for employers and employees when submitting, reviewing, and tracking their employment permit application status. Further, the deployment of the new system signifies a broader milestone in immigration digital transformation.

All previously submitted applications have successfully migrated to the new system.
Any outstanding application drafts are being cancelled and need to be redrafted.
